Historical re-enactment

Sometimes history can be ugly, but, come the sunshine it will disappear
as though it were made of the softest sn-
never mind..

See you Thursday!

There's no business like snow business

Since I am only posting once a week
I thought I'd post the ones that are going into the paper for the holidays.
Since Thanksgiving is a week from today and the next scheduled strip
will appear on that day, I will post the one from last week's edition today
and the one that appears in today's paper, I will post tomorrow.
So, now that everyone is thoroughly screwed up and
I have made my intentions as clear as mud, read and enjoy.

We interrupt this posting...

Due to circumstances beyond our control,
additions to The Grand Life will be reduced to weekly postings,
unless I can think of something profound to say.
I don't see that happening, after all, who goes to a
cartoonist's blog for words of profound wisdom.
We will see what the brain fairy drops off.

Parental wire tapping

This is something I've always wanted to do
but never did because I was afraid of what I might hear.

Like sand through the 3 minute egg timer

When the ideas become hard to come by,
there is always my children and grand children
who come to the rescue, as in this case.
Thank you Tracy, for the phone call.

Taking a calculated risk

I use to pride myself on being on top of all the newest technology.
My family would always call and let me know
they needed me to set their VCRs.
The cartoon below is closer to the truth than I would like to admit.

Seriously, I can't even get the counter to work on this site.

Fire escape threat thwarted

I can read the headlines now,
"Thousands killed in fire at Walmart when the fleeing crowd
found their escape blocked by two old ladies talking"!
I really liked Violet's comment.
(I couldn't find "thwarted' in the dictionary, so I guessed)

A painful turn of events.

Just to make it clear, this is not based on an actual event,
but, since everyone in the cartoons are based on real live people,
I only used Tom and Christine because
they are too far away to hurt me.
Tune in next week boys and girls to see what Christine cuts up of Tom's!
