Taking a calculated risk

I use to pride myself on being on top of all the newest technology.

My family would always call and let me know

I can read the headlines now,

"Thousands killed in fire at Walmart when the fleeing crowd

found their escape blocked by two old ladies talking"!

I really liked Violet's comment.

(I couldn't find "thwarted' in the dictionary, so I guessed)

A painful turn of events.

Just to make it clear, this is not based on an actual event,

but, since everyone in the cartoons are based on real live people,

I only used Tom and Christine because

they are too far away to hurt me.
